2 Nights Fes
Your Moroccan welcome starts on a riad rooftop with mint tea and pastries, the medina spread out below. Fes is the world’s largest car-free city, a maze of alleyways where artisans work as they have for centuries. With your guide, watch the famous tanneries from the terraces above, visit artisan cooperatives and step into hidden palaces. Then it’s aprons on for a hands-on Moroccan cooking class, ending with the best tagine lunch in town: your own.
On the Sunday morning, the first-class Al Atlas train carries us south to Marrakech: comfortable seats, mint tea and countryside rolling past, with not an airport queue in sight.
5 Nights Marrakech
Marrakech is your home base for the rest of the journey: five nights in one hotel, so you unpack properly. Explore the painted ceilings of Bahia Palace, find your bargaining feet on a guided souk walk, and watch Jemaa el-Fnaa come alive at dusk. Enjoy pre-booked early entry to the Jardin Majorelle and YSL Museum, with free time for a hammam, the spa, the pool or another round in the souks. Private transport brings us home after dark, every time.
Day Trips: Ourika Valley & Essaouira
Two easy days out from Marrakech. Into the green Ourika Valley in the Atlas foothills for mountain views, a riverside lunch and a women-owned argan oil cooperative, where you meet the women behind Morocco’s liquid gold (and yes, the goats really do climb the argan trees). Then Essaouira for a day: a whitewashed, blue-shuttered medina, artisan shopping without the hard sell, fishing boats in the harbour and a long seafood lunch by the Atlantic.
1 Night Agafay Desert
The grand finale. Swap the city for a luxury desert camp in the Agafay: ensuite tents, pool and spa time, an optional sunset camel ride across the moonscape, and the farewell dinner under the stars. Wake to a desert sunrise breakfast, then roll straight to the airport. Agafay is a rocky moonscape desert rather than sand dunes, and it is beautiful.
